Equal Opportunities

 Children’s Equal Opportunity Policy

In our school no one will be made to feel we can’t do something because we are a boy or a girl.

In our school no one will be made to feel unhappy because we are different in any way, including:

  • wearing glasses
  • the colour of our skin
  • the shape or size of our body
  • the colour of our hair
  • our accent or language
  • where we live
  • if we are rich or poor
  • our religion
  • if we have a disability
  • if we have special medical needs

In our school no one will be made to feel unhappy because:

  • we struggle with our work or have special educational needs
  • we are very clever or talented

In our school no one will be allowed to make someone feel unhappy by:

  • calling them names
  • being rude about their background
  • threatening them
  • being racist
  • interfering with property
  • physically hurting someone
  • any form of bullying

If we are being bullied we will tell!

If we know of anyone else who is being bullied we will tell!

If we know that someone else is a bully we will tell!

This equal opportunities policy has been written and agreed by the children.  Voting on all issues was unanimous.
