On the 18th and 19th October 2017, Year 5 went to London! We had a fabulous time and we saw lots of amazing things! It was a jam-packed two days seeing the sites of London!
On the first day, after been refuelled at McDonalds, we arrived in London and our first stop was the London Eye. The children were able to see the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, The Shard, MI5 and Buckingham Palace, even though it was cloudy!
Our last stop on the first day was to the Lyceum Theatre, where we saw ‘The Lion King’. The show was absolutely brilliant and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
After a busy first day, we arrived at our Hotel and the children were impressed with their rooms. Some of them even said they were the poshest rooms they’ve ever seen!
On the second day, we visited the National History Museum. We saw lots of amazing artefacts – we even had a walk with the dinosaurs!
The final visit was to the fantastic Harry Potter Studios. We had a great time! We couldn’t tell who was more excited, the children or the teachers! Here we saw how they made all of the wonderful behind the scenes sets and some of us even had a duel with the Dementors! It was a magical experience that we certainly won’t forget!
The children of St James were absolutely fantastic and we were very proud of each and every one of them!
