On Wednesday 19th October, Year 5 children set off to London to take in the sights, see a West End show and take a trip on the London Eye. After stopping off at Nottingham services for lunch, we arrived at out hotel to drop our luggage off before heading into the centre of London. Luckily the traffic was kind to us and we arrived in London with plenty of time to have a walk through St James' Park (where we had sandwiches for dinner), down to Buckingham Palace, through Trafalgar Square, Haymarket, Piccadilly Circus, Shaftesbury Avenue and then to The Prince Edward Theatre for the evening performance of Aladdin.
On Thursday, after a full English breakfast, we headed back into London for a trip on the London Eye. Despite the weather being dull, we were able to see all the famous sites and everyone really enjoyed this - some even conquered their fears! After visiting the gift shop and a walk across Golden Jubilee Bridge, we walked back to the coach to set off back to school.
