In October, Year 5 undertook a drama and culture residential to London. We had a fabulous time! It was a jam-packed two days. On the first day, we arrived in London and our first stop was the London Eye. The children were able to see the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, The Shard, MI5 and Buckingham Palace, even though it was cloudy! Our last stop on the first day was to the Lyceum Theatre, to see ‘The Lion King’. The show was absolutely brilliant and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves! On the second day, we visited the National History Museum. The final visit was to the fantastic Harry Potter Studios. We had a great time!
This is a fabulous opportunity to experience a live performance in the West End and to take a look at our modern, diverse - yet equally historic capital city. We see this as an ideal opportunity to enhance social skills, encourage the children's desire to perform and to deepen their awareness of life in modern Britain and what this looks like in our own capital. A fabulous experience all round!
