** THIS WAS A NON-UNIFORM DAY - ALL KINDS OF ANIMAL ONESIES WERE ACTIVELY ENCOURAGED!! **
Noah’s mission to build an ark and protect the future of all animals on our planet is something that everyone at St. James was aware of, however we presented the children with the same situation in 2016.
What would they do? What choices would they make? Who did they need to take care of?
This was a Religious Education theme day that really made us think about what really is important in life. Real life decisions had to be made by the children as they sought to ensure humanity could continue in the face of a catastrophic environment changing event. Material items had to be left behind as we all considered what we really needed to stay alive.
Mr Denton played Noah as the children designed and filled their own personal arks. They were required to use a range of skills from reading, writing and performance to art, design, science and geography - all drawn from a major moral and social question.
