Curriculum
Our curriculum is planned to allow children to build on prior learning and apply new knowledge and skills in other areas of the curriculum. As we are a 1.5 form entry school we have a 2 year rolling programme for our curriculum for Y1 - Y6. Children do not simply repeat their learning, intead they recap and build on learning each year.
In Reception, the curriculum is designed to be taught over 1 year. This is because children in Reception are taught together, as a unit. At the end of Recepion, children them move into Key Stage 1.
Our long-term curriculum plan, showing the 2 year rolling programme, can be found below. We are currently in Year A of the curriculum. We will move to Year B in September 2023.
